Mary M. (Piscitelli) Johnson

86, of Cranston, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 30th at home. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur T. Johnson by four short months. Born in Italy, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Christina Piscitelli.

Mary worked at Travelers Insurance for many years before retiring in 1991. She was an avid gardener, very artistic and loved to cook and bake for her family. We will always remember going to Ma’s for dinner and coming home with enough food for a few more meals. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren as they grew up taking them on outings, to the beach, shopping and cheering on their accomplishments.

She is survived by her children who loved her with all their hearts, Christine Babiar and her husband Richard of South Kingstown, Mary Conway and her husband Patrick of Cranston and Jennifer Johnson of Cranston. She was the cherished grandmother of Julie Greenhalgh and her husband Andrew, Patrick Conway, Allyson Sell and her husband Jared and Nicholai Wilt; two precious great-grandchildren, Natalie and Gabriella Greenhalgh. She also leaves two sisters, Celia Podmaska and Lillian Shroyer, several nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and also Friday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
