MARY ANN (MACERA) LEPORE

95, formerly of Atwood Avenue, Johnston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Armando Lepore. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Mauro and Mary (Cardillo) Macera. Mary was a lifelong learner; at the age of 80 she earned her G.E.D. She also took courses and studied poetry in her later years at CCRI. She along with her husband were avid gardeners. The gardens were the fruit of their loving labor. Mary was an active participant in various community organizations including 4-H, Cub Scouts, and political campaigns. A gifted needle worker, Mary knit articles of clothing for various charitable organizations.

She is survived by her loving children, Cameille L. Walch and her husband Tom of Jupiter, FL., and Frank A. Lepore and his wife Patricia of Tunbridge, VT. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Terri Fekete of Jupiter, FL and Seth Lepore and his wife Sharon of Westhampton, MA and the great-grandmother of Tommy and Haley Fekete. She was the sister of Angela Lombardo of Johnston, Louise Scungio of Cranston, and the late Pasco, Vito, Michael, Anthony, and Ralph Macera, Madeline Cece, Evelyn Altrui, and Margaret Mulhearn. Mary is also survived by her step-grandchildren, Nathan Davenport and his wife Amy, and their son Alexander of Lyman, Maine as well as Sarah Davenport Jaynes and her husband Christopher and their sons Ian and Arden of Denver, CO.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
