MARY C. (PICANO) HASTY
85, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at RI Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife for 51 years of John D. Hasty. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Francesca (Maggiacomo) Picano.
Mary worked in the jewelry industry for many years before retiring in 1973. She was Past President of St. Mary's Feast Society Women's Auxiliary; and a member of the Knightsville Seniors Club.
Besides her husband, Mary was the dear sister of the late Pasco "Pat" Picano, Jr., Frances Ann Humlak and Antonio Picano; and loving aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
