MARY GURRIERI

104, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Ragusa, Italy she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Cascone) Gurrieri. Mary was a seamstress in the garment district in New York City for twenty-five years before her retirement. She is survived by her niece with whom she resided Mary Criscione of Providence, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Mary was the aunt of the late John and Salvatore Criscione. She was the sister of the late Gina Gurrieri, Giuseppina Gurrieri, Giovannina "Jennie" Criscione, and Gaetano "Tom" Gurrieri. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Flushing, NY. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted.
