MARY (SIMEONE) GLIOTTONE

81, of Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at home. She was the beloved wife of sixty years to Silvestro "Silvio" Gliottone. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Agostino and Carmela (Aveta) Simeone. Mrs. Gliottone was employed by the State of Rhode Island and RISD for many years until her retirement. She was a faithful communicant of St. Bartholomew Church. Mary was a member of the former Veridames of Providence College, where she attended the School of Continuing Education. She will always be remembered for living a faithful and Christian life. Mary was committed to caring for others and always willing to extend "a helping hand". Those who knew her were blessed by "her heart of gold". Besides her husband she is survived by her loving daughters, Jane M. Delamare and her husband Robert of Providence, and Ann Marie Achille of Cranston. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Joanna M. Achille, Esq. and Brianna J. Delamare, both of Providence. She was the sister of Anthony Simeone, Anna Dorsi, both of Cranston, and the late John Simeone. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was the aunt of the late beloved Carole-Ann Saccoccio. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
