MARY (DiSCIORIO) FERRARA

87, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday March 7, 2012 at the Coventry Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coventry. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank V. Ferrara. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Josephine (Santangelo) DiSciorio. Mary was a supervisor for the former Natco Inc. of West Warwick for twenty years before her retirement. She enjoyed the casinos and was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by her loving children, Marilyn E. Ferrara of Warwick, and Frank V. Ferrara and his wife Dolores of Cumberland. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Michael V. Ferrara and his wife Jennifer of Johnston, and Holly Beth Thacker and her husband Patrick of Grants Pass, Oregon, and two great-grandchildren Cameron and William Ferrara of Johnston. Mary was the sister of the late Theresa Vito, Antonetta Meglio, Sam Merola, Joseph Merola, and Carmela Iovino. She was the step-daughter of the late James Merola.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Interment will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
