MARY JANE (DEL PADRE) COMSTOCK DUFFY

95, wife of the late Lawrence J. Duffy,passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Cranston R.I., the youngest daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina (Brunetti) DelPadre, she resided in Cranston and was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church for 91 years before moving to Buckingham Estates Memory Care Community in Glastonbury, Ct, almost four years ago. Mary and Larry were married for 58 years until his death in 2009. Mary's first husband, Charles A. Comstock Jr., was killed in action in France in 1945. Mary was devoted to her family and her greatest pleasure was spending time with them. Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Duffy Wallace and her husband William of Manchester Ct.; three beloved granddaughters: Kathryn of Norwalk, Ct., Erin of Wellfleet Ma., and Carolyn of Manchester Ct., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three brothers: John, Michael and Matthew DelPadre; and three sisters: Margaret Mangarelli, Louise Kalasinsky and Nelda Maloney. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Ave., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday morning 9-10 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: the Alzheimer's Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT. 06067 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
