MARY G. (MARCHETTI) DeMATTEO

89, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cranston. She was the wife of the late Alberto W. DeMatteo Sr. Mrs. DeMatteo was the daughter of the late Archangelo and Rosina (Geremia) Marchetti and had been a lifelong resident of Cranston. Mary was a Domestic Engineer. She is survived by her children, Alberta Ruggieri and her husband John of Cranston, Barbara A. Folgo and her husband Eugene of Coventry, MaryAnn DiSpirito and her husband Christopher of Lincoln and Michael J. DeMatteo Sr. and his wife Donna of Coventry. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was the aunt of Sister Angelina Giramma, M.P.F. of Cranston, Angela Marchetti of Barrington and Marie Pastina of Warwick. Mary was the last surviver of 13 siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10am in The Church of St Mark, Garden City, Cranston. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Interment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
