Mary G. Criscione

94, Providence, passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Georgio and Giovannina “Jennie” (Gurrieri) Criscione. Mary graduated from Classical High School and continued her education by obtaining a Bachelors Degree from Brown University in 1951, followed by her Masters Degree at Middlebury College, VT. She was a teacher in the Providence School system for 39 years of which she was at Classical High School for 28 years teaching both French and Spanish. Mary was a lifelong resident of Providence, living in the Silver Lake section. She was the sister of the late Salvatore and John Criscione. Mary is survived by her sisters-in-law Mary and Alda Criscione and cherished nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Providence. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
