91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2013, at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Stefano B. Casale. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nora (Mancini) Ruggieri. Mary was a polisher at A.T. Cross for seventeen years before her retirement. She was also employed at Calart Flowers in her younger years. Mary was a member of the Knightsville Club and loved to play Scrabble.
She is survived by her loving children, Daniel Casale and his wife Debra of Cumberland, and Stephen Casale and his wife Rosemary of Cranston. She was the cherished grandmother of Thomas and Kara Casale of East Providence, Stephen Casale of New York, Thomas and Nora Castrignano of North Providence, Deana Casale and her fiancAC.e Thomas Cimalore of San Diego, CA, Bethany Midwood and her husband Jason of Warwick, Sofia Casale of Cumberland, and three great- grandchildren. She was the sister of Josephine Pursche of Johnston, Anna Casale, Gilda Narcisi, Peter Ruggieri, all of Cranston, and the late Nicholas Ruggieri.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, 181 Princess Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
