MARY (ROCHIRA) BURGESS
95, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Burgess. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Teresa (Regine) Rochira. Mary was a solderer for the Tru-Kay Jewelry Company of Lincoln for thirty years before her retirement. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League at Holy Ghost Church.
She is survived by her loving daughter Deborah T. Hanson of East Greenwich. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Marissa, Mariel, Lauren, and Michael Hanson. She was the sister of Frank Rochira of Port Charlotte, FL, Lucy DiPalma of North Providence, Louis Rochira of Warwick, and the late Benjamin, John, Victor, and Joseph Rochira.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third Street, East Greenwich. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
