MARY A. BRITCLIFFE

MARY A. (SHARNOK) BRITCLIFFE, 100, of The Bridge at Cherry Hill, Cherry Hill Rd., Johnston and formerly of Killingly St., Johnston, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel G. Britcliffe. Born in Russia, a daughter of the late Charles and Ann (Makowski) Sharnok, she came to the U.S. in 1912 settling in Massachusetts and later in Providence before moving to Johnston.
Mary was a sewer at the former Atlantic Mills in Providence for many years and later worked at Raytheon before retiring. She was the aunt of Helen M. Antonelli and great aunt of Karen Silverbush and her husband Steven, all of Johnston, and sister of the late Anthony and John Sharnok and Helen Mojkowski. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
