Mary E. (Rao) Blasi

95, of Johnston, passed away Sunday March 10, 2024. She was the wife of the late Louis Blasi.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angela (Rivita) Rao.

Mary was a senior clerk for the DMV for 33 years before retiring at age 80.

She was the devoted mother of Michael Blasi and his wife Sharon and Kathye Hunt and her husband Fredric. She was the dear sister of the late Lena McDonough, Carmine Rao, John Rao, Frank Rao and Robert Rao.

Our mom loved to cook. She made the best meatballs and gravy, eggplant parmigiana, stuffed artichokes and chicken soup just to name a few. She loved to travel and has been to many places. Her other favorites were sitting in front of the ocean, going out to eat, watching old movies, listening to big band music and dancing. But what she loved most was being around her family.

Visiting hours are Tuesday Morning March 19, 2024 from 8:00 am – 9 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church Johnston at 10 am Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
