MARY (NATALIZIA) BATTISTA

84, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011 surrounded by her family at Cortland Place in Greenville. She was the former wife of the late John J. "Brooklyn" Battista , Sr. Mary was born in Providence , a daughter of the late Joseph and Giuseppina Natalizia . Mary loved cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She also was a member of the Johnston Senior Center where she enjoyed playing cards and BINGO. She is survived by her loving children, Mildred Santilli and son-in-law John of Johnston, John J. Battista, Jr. and daughter-in-law Beverly of Cranston and Robin Beyer and son-in-law Keith of Cranston. She was also the cherished grandmother of Kerri Santilli, John Santilli, Laura Santilli, Giana Battista, Alexa Battista, Matthew Beyer, Mackenzie Beyer, great grandmother of Jack Santilli and sister of Anna Passarelli of North Providence and the late Angelo Pazienza, Gena Ricci and Gloria Gaspar. She was also the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11 am in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. A special thank you to the caring Nursing Staff, and CNA'S of Cortland Place Nursing Home.
