MARY O. (OHANIAN) AVAKIAN
MARY O. (OHANIAN) AVAKIAN, 87, of Smith St. Providence, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late George K. Avakian. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Megerditch and Araxie (Odabashian) Ohanian.
Mary was an active member at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church.
She was the devoted mother of Alyce "Allie" Amaral and her husband William of West Warwick; and is also survived by two grandsons and their wives, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Funeral Service in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS SATURDAY MORNING 9-10 a.m.
