71 of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late David M. and Ellena (Hill) Moffat.
Mrs. Van Wormer graduated from CCRI in 1980 and worked as an LPN for the Joseph H. Ladd School and later for University Fields before retiring.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening. She loved holidays especially Halloween. Marsha cherished her cat Reggie.
She leaves three children, Dawn M. Potter and her husband Brian of Hope Valley, Timothy J. Van Wormer, Jr. and Heather E. Beauchemin and her husband Jason of Narragansett; her siblings, Richard B. Moffat of Johnston, AnnMarie Carter of Johnston and Gail Masso of Putnam, CT; She was the beloved “Nanie” of ten grandchildren, John Moffat, Christian Clark, T. Johnathan DiBiasio, Nicole Sankey, Kelsie Van Wormer, Timothy J. Van Wormer, III, Corey Van Wormer, Stephen A. Beauchemin, Amelia E.M. Beauchemin and David Beauchemin; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late David Moffat and Sandra Kelly.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, New England Chapter, 209 West Central Street, Suite 220, Natick, MA 01760.
