Mark K. Douglas

68, of Wakefield, RI passed away on October 6, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Jennifer M. (Lazarus) Douglas for forty years; and the loving father of Leigh Douglas of Brooklyn, NY.

Born in New Rochelle, NY he was the son of the late William Penn and Marian Minerva (Brown) Douglas.

Mr. Douglas received a Bachelor of Science in music education from Manhattanville College.  A lover of music, Mark was a music teacher for many years; and enjoyed playing the guitar and interacting with students.  An outdoorsman, he liked to cross country ski and be in nature.  He also enjoyed origami and building model cars.

Prior to his retirement and moving, he was a devoted member of his church, St. Bartholomew’s in White Plains, NY.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.

A memorial service will be held later this month at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 82 Prospect Street, White Plains, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bart’s Art’s Community Kitchen, 82 Prospect Street, White Plains, NY 10606.
