MARISSA ANGELA GARDNER

Marissa Angela Gardner, 19, of Plainfield Pike, Johnston, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at RI Hospital, Providence. A lifelong Johnston resident, Marissa was the daughter of Maryann (Conti) Cusick of Johnston and Joseph Gardner of Johnston. She was also the step-daughter of James Cusick. Marissa was a 2007 graduate of Johnston High School and had been attending CCRI at the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln aspiring to becoming a court stenographer. Marissa is also survived by one sister, Joelle Gardner of Johnston, her maternal grandmother Angela M. (Palmieri) Conti of Johnston, and her paternal grandmother Evelyn (Wainer) Gleason of Johnston. She was also the granddaughter of the late Peter Conti Jr. and Edward Gleason, and many loving Aunt's, Uncle's, and cousins. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4:00-8:00pm.
