affectionately known as “Auntie” to family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
She was pre-deceased by her mother Susie Giannasi, her sister Betty Campanella, and brother-in-law Archie Campanella. She leaves behind her nieces Nancy Scorpio (Anthony) of Cranston and Christine Woodbine (Robert) of Saunderstown, and nephews Stephen Campanella (Joann deceased) of South Carolina and Gary Campanella (Fatimah) of California.
She is also survived by her great-nieces Elizabeth Gencarelli (Aaron), Lauren Martinez (Alex), Julia Iannucci (Mat), Erica Campanella, Marissa Lewis (Brian), Beth Campanella (Chuck), and Anne Campanella (Bryan); and great-nephews Gregory Scorpio (Stephanie), David Scorpio, and Daniel Iannucci (Marissa); and dear cousins and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring Auntie Marion.
She worked for Dr. Albert Puerini, Sr. for thirty-three years. She was a volunteer for many charitable organizations.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Cranston, where she served for many years as a Minister of the Eucharist, and Lector. She loved attending daily morning mass at St. Mary’s Church and Holy Apostles Church.
Marion was an avid reader, walker, loved to travel and spend time at the ocean. Her greatest joy was any time spent with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Upon her request, visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery.
