Marion was the oldest daughter born to Armenian immigrants who fled persecution from the Armenian Genocide. Marion attended Mount Pleasant High School and as a young girl helped manage the family grocery store in Olneyville when her older brother was drafted in WW-II. She started her own family and resided in the Smith Hill section of Providence. Marion worked 30 years for the State of RI for the Department of Human Services.
Marion danced the Halay and Tamzara with her beloved Anthony. Holidays, birthdays, bazaars, dances all provided her the opportunity to be with family and friends, caring for each in her own way. She was sweet, kind and generous - an Armenian mother extraordinaire.
She was the devoted mother of Russell Bramley and his wife Carol of Warwick; loving grandmother of Jennifer, Douglas and Jessica Bramley; loving step-grandmother of Keith and Mark Farrelly; companion of Anthony Bahian of Warwick; and sister of Margaret Peck of East Providence, Martha Lucia of Cranston and the late Charles and Sarkis Hazarian. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
