Mario M. Muccio

passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 surrounded by love. Born in Valle Agricola, Caserta, Italy on July 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria Domenica Muccio.

Mario is survived by his devoted son, Jason Muccio and wife Aura, and his cherished grandson, Tyler Muccio. He was the dear brother of Angelo Muccio, Anna Muccio, Rosa Thompson and the late Giusto Muccio. He was a loving and spirited uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Mario emigrated to the US in 1970 and eventually retired from the Cranston School Department. He was an active member of the Santa Maria diPrata Society and spent time with his friends there playing cards and bocce.

Companion to Debra Polce, confidant to her children Dina and Stacy, Mario was also Papa to Matthew, Caitlyn, Patrick, Alyssa, Dante and Matthew Jr. whom he loved greatly.

Mario was a generous man, a friend to all, quick to lend a hand, and he will be missed tremendously.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
