MARIO 'KITE' G. AZZARONE

Mario G. 'Kite' Azzarone 92, of Bolton St. Cranston, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, with his beloved wife of 68 years by his side. He was the devoted and caring husband of Anna (Squicciarino) Azzarone. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Vincenzo and Maria Rosario (Ligouri) Azzarone. He was a self employed painter and maintenance supervisor before his retirement in 1982. He was an avid gardener and WW-II United States Navy Veteran. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters of which he was very proud of, Ann Marie Ricci and her husband Ronald and Maria Zammiello and her husband Frank, all of Cranston. He was the loving grandfather of Renee Cardi Aloisio, Deborah Cardi Neves, Michael Zammiello and Michelle Zammiello D'Alassandro, and loving great-grandfather of seven. He is survived by a brother Anthony Azzarone of Providence and a sister Josephine Cirello of North Providence. He was the brother of the late Frank, Angelo, and Nicholas Azzarone. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian in Holy Apostle Church, Pippin Orchard Rd. Cranston, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
