MARILYN E. (LEACH) SCHMID

87, of Grandville Ct., Wakefield passed away on Thursday April 29, 2010 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late George W. Schmid. Marilyn was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Arthur and Saidee (Waterman) Leach. Mrs. Schmid was the co-founder with her late husband of the Ram Point Marina in Wakefield which still operates today in its third generation. She is survived by her loving children, Daryl Anne Anderson of Narragansett, Liane Shorten of Kingston and Curtis Schmid of Wakefield. She was also the cherished grandmother of Janet, Susanne, Gregory, Eric, Sara, Rebecca, and was the great grandmother of 15, and sister of the late Douglas Leach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday at 1 pm in the Peace Dale Congregational Church 261 Columbia St., Peace Dale. Her burial will be private, and visiting hours respectfully omitted.
