Marilyn was a registered nurse and case manager at Miriam Hospital in Providence for 25 years retiring in 2009. She graduated from RI Hospital School of Nursing in 1972, received her Bachelor Degree from RI College in 1980 and her Masters Degree from Salve Regina University in 1985. She was a member of RI State Nurses Association.
Marilyn was the devoted mother of Dianne Rolando of Smithfield and Debra L. Cardente and her husband Frank of Cranston and was the loving grandmother of Alan Scott, Nickolas Paul and Jackson Neal Cardente.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 29th at 12 noon in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, and may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon prior to Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Marilyn A. Rolando, R.N. Scholarship Fund, c/o RI Institute for Nursing, 700 Butler Dr., Providence, RI 02906.
