MARIE L. (BURATTI) TROMBETTA

Marie L. (Buratti) Trombetta 89, of Southport, NC formerly of Providence, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Dosher Nursing Center, Southport, NC. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Trombetta, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Orazio and Palmira (Manzotti) Buratti. Mrs. Trombetta along with her late husband were the co-owners of Sunnyside Jewelry Company of Providence until their retirement in 1992. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church and a member of the church Ladies Guild. She is survived by her children Elaine M. Signore and her husband Chuck, and Joseph P. Trombetta, Jr. and his wife Linda all of Southport, NC. Marie was the grandmother of Nicole S. Valentine and her husband Tom of Warrington, PA, Scott J. Trombetta of Surf City, NJ, Michael J. Trombetta and his wife Jen of Floriston, CA and one great-grandson Dylan Thomas Valentine. She was the sister of the late Giordano, Ferrer, Vanni and Anita Buratti and Argia Pedorella. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, 547 Plainfield Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
