MARIE SANOSSIAN, 98, formerly of New London Avenue, Cranston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, she was the beloved daughter of the late Hagop and Siranouch (Haroutunian) Sanossian.
Marie was the oldest of four girls – Rosine Sanossian of New York and the late Alidz Kramer of New Jersey and Suzy Jagasia of Switzerland.
Marie was a kindergarten teacher in Beirut before coming to the United States in 1958. She settled in New York City where she worked as a payroll clerk for John Jay University until her retirement. Marie was a gifted and talented painter and enjoyed displaying her works of art around her home and sharing these treasured pieces with loved ones.
Marie moved to Cranston in 1999 to be closer to family and friends. She loved knitting and crocheting, as well as cooking delicious Armenian and Lebanese delicacies for everyone to enjoy.
Marie leaves behind a large family including her sister, Rosine Sanossian; nieces Janet, Rupina and Divya; nephew Narain; and great nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Monday, August 8th at 11 a.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
