MARIE E. (MANERA) SACCOCCIO

96, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Antoine's Residence, North Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Gino S. Saccoccio. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Angelina (Landfredi) Manera. Marie along with her husband were the owners of Abilene Oil Service, Inc. in Cranston, since 1938. Marie was also a hairdresser at the former Outlet Company Salon for eighteen years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Marie was a member and volunteer at the Cranston Senior Center for eighteen years. She and her husband were charter members of the Alpine Country Club and was an avid golfer and traveled extensively. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her children dearly.

She is survived by her loving children, Dyan M. Saccoccio of Glocester, Gene A. Saccoccio and his wife Dawn of Cranston, and Paul J. Saccoccio and his wife Eva of North Scituate. Marie was the cherished grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of five. She was the sister of the late Amelia Dutton, Julia Geremia, Frank, Mario, Paul, Anthony and Joseph Manera.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
