MARIE E. (COLARUSSO) MC MANUS

Of South Kingstown, RI and Tequesta, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at South County Hospital, Wakefield with her family at her side. She was the cherished wife of sixty-two years of Vincent R. McManus. Born in Providence, RI she was a daughter of the late John and Maria (Falcone) Colarusso. In addition to her husband, she was the devoted mother of Catherine Reis and her husband Peter of Torrington, CT, Marilyn Gauvain and her husband Greg of South Bend, IN, Eileen Nylen and her husband Richard of Ipswich, MA, Deborah McManus of North Arlington, NJ and Mary Alice McManus of Green Hill, RI. She was the loving Nana of Kelly Reis Carroll, Casey Reis, Michelle Gauvain Hara, Christine Gauvain, and Christopher, Kevin, and Mark Nylen and loving great-grandmother of five. She was preceded in death by her sisters Veronica Cornell and Elizabeth Stone. Marie was a former member of Wannamoisett Country Club. She was also a former volunteer at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ and South County Hospital in Wakefield, RI. Marie enjoyed traveling, cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her family. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt.1A), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
