MARIE V. (ARBOLINO) KIRK

85, of New Symrna Beach, FL died Tuesday, May 22, 2012. She was born to the late Margaret (Armstrong) and Carlo Arbolino on October 29, 1926 in Providence. Married in 1945, she was the beloved wife of Kenneth Kirk and were each other's best friend and true love. A homemaker, they lived together in Cranston, before relocating to New Symrna Beach in 1997. Marie was an active Christian and followed the Catholic faith. Marie, with her husband, joined Smyrna Yacht Club, New Symrna Beach in 1997 where they enjoyed the many social functions and activities. Marie loved playing canasta at the club throughout the years. They resigned in 2011 due to their health. Marie will be remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she is survived by her five children: Patricia Durigan, widow of the late Philip Durigan, of Narragansett; Kenneth Jr. and his wife Doris , of Green Bay WI; Lawrence of Port Orange, FL; Richard and his wife Diane , of Port Orange, FL; and Margaret Coyne and her husband , Donald, of Saunderstown; and will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren: Sheri, David, Kelli, Ryan, Christina, Andrew, Geoffrey; and two great-grandchildren: Hannah and Grace. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:30am in St. Paul's Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to United Cerebral Palsy (U.C.P.) 200 Main Street, Suite 210, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
