Marie Louise Garabedian

MARIE LOUISE GARABEDIAN “LOUISE”, 94, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at home where she was cared for and deeply loved.

She was the daughter of Armenian Genocide survivors Krikor and Baizar (Stepanian) Garabedian, Born and educated in Marseille, France, Louise moved to Rhode Island in 1947, where she was a hairdresser until she retired.  She was a member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church which she attended faithfully all her life.

She was the dear sister of Rosette Garabedian with whom she lived, Marie Haratunian of Franklin Lakes, NJ and the late Elyse Garabedian and Suzanne Simonian.  She was the aunt of six nieces and nephews, and great-aunt to twelve great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly loved.

Her funeral service and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Sts. Vartanantz Church Outreach Program, 402 Broadway, Providence, RI 02909. (Established to help needy families).
