95, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Greenwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Palmerino "Charles" Ambrosia. Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Teresa (DiPiero) Filippi. Marie was employed by the former Outlet Company of Providence for fifteen years before retiring in 1980. Marie enjoyed her family and summers on Great Island.
She is survived by her loving children, Andrew P. Ambrosia and his wife Barbara of Wakefield and Patricia A. Parente and her husband John of Warwick. Marie was the grandmother of John A. Parente of MA, Christopher C. Parente of Exeter, Pamela M. Shepard, of CT., Mark Ambrosia, and Lisa Josephson, both of Wakefield. She was the great-grandmother of fourteen. Marie was the sister of the late, Benny, Paul, Victor, Peter, Alfred, and Raymond Filippi, Madeline DuBois, and Nancy Meloche.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
