71, of Brookwood Road, Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence; she was the beloved wife of John Tirocchi, Jr. They were married for fifty years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Aquilino "William" and Rose Marie (Mezzancello) Zompa. Marian was a waitress for various restaurants for many years. She was also a licensed beautician and a certified CNA. Mrs. Tirocchi was an avid Red Sox fan and was involved with the Babe Ruth Baseball League for many years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Cheryl A. Palombo and her husband Anthony, John W. Tirocchi, Joseph A. Tirocchi and his wife Leslie all of Cranston. Marian was the cherished grandmother of Amanda, Ilana, Dylan, Jared and Gianna. She was the sister of Camille R. Tamburro of Cranston. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
