Marian E. Gannon, 91 of Cranston passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, with her family by her side. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Catherine Reilly. She was the devoted wife of the late Martin J. Gannon, for 45 years prior to his passing in 1999. The two met while both working at Whiting Milk.
A graduate of Hope High School she was a sales associate for many years at Jordan Marsh, where her love for great fashion, and her impeccable style were fostered. A woman of many talents and hobbies, she could be found sewing, decorating beautiful cakes, playing the piano, gardening, bowling, and later in life the “Queen” of word search books. Family was of utmost importance, she never missed a sporting event, and there was never a holiday or birthday card that was missed. In her later years she would look forward to family events and enjoying a nice glass of red sangria.
She was the beloved mother of Michael Gannon and his wife Susan, Kathryn Gannon, Deborah Hayden and her husband Peter, Beth Saccoccio, and Susan Beliveau. She was the loving “Gram” of Martina (Martin), Peter (Danielle), Derek, Michaela, Andrew (Kelsey), Alexandrea, Ariana and the late Michael. She was the cherished “Gigi” of Dylan, Magnolia, Brady, Owen, Bailee, and Peyton. She was predeceased by her sister Alice Andrews (Andy).
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Mark’s Church, 9 Garden Ct., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITING HOURS will be held from 8:30 – 10:00am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 N. Main St., Providence, 02904.
