Maria (Labbadia) Venditti

of Cranston St., Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Cedar Crest Nursing Center in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Elia Venditti. Born in Lenola (LT), Italy, the daughter of the late Benedetto and Maria (Lauretti) Labbadia, she came to the U.S in 1970.

 Maria was a housekeeper at Roger Williams Hospital for 30 years before retiring.She was the devoted mother of Emanuela Mesiti (Fausto) and Antonio Venditti, all of Cranston and the late Pasqualina “Lina” Venditti; cherished grandmother of Stefania Mesiti of Johnston and Katia Prezioso (Robert) of Cranston; loving great-grandmother of twins Kiara and Siena; and dear sister of Lena Paliotta of Cranston. Maria also leaves two sisters-in law, several nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends between the U.S., Italy and Australia.

 Maria loved to cook and bake, and was known for her delicious lasagna, pizza and crostata. She also enjoyed knitting and would make beautiful garments for her family and friends.

 Her family extends a special thank you to the staff, nurses and CNAs at Cedar Crest Nursing Center for the loving care given to Maria.

 Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 20th at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
