Maria "Marie" (D'Ambra) Renzulli

85, of Wakefield , previously of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Petrina (Sepe) D’Ambra.

She was the devoted mother to Donna Burke and her husband Ken of South Kingstown, Doreen Carey and her husband Chuck of South Kingstown, Maria Gould and her husband Donald of Cranston, as well as the loving grandmother of Kenny and Christopher Burke, Jenna Carey, and Joseph and Marisa Gould. Marie was the sister of the late Anna Buonomano and former wife of the late William Renzulli.

Marie, also known as Nina , was the matriarch of her family and friends. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant of constituent affairs in the RI Senate. After retiring, she volunteered on numerous committees at the Cranston Senior Center, where she went daily for many years and made many wonderful friends.  Marie was a social person who enjoyed summers in Narragansett. Her love of Opera and Tony Bennett was surpassed only by her love for her family and the many dogs in her life. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother and a compassionate human being who will be deeply missed.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, (social distancing and masks required), followed by a burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston .  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
