Maria M. (Coletta) Paliotta

94, of West Warwick, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Kent Hospital, Warwick. Born in Fornelli, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Amalia (Lombardi) Coletta. 

 Maria's journey began when she bravely immigrated to West Warwick, Rhode Island, in 1955 at the age of 25, embarking on a new life filled with opportunities and challenges. Maria dedicated many years to her career as a seamstress, a craft she approached with both skill and passion. 

She found great joy in cooking, sharing her delicious creations, especially her homemade raviolis, during gatherings with family and friends. Maria was an extraordinarily kind and gentle soul to all who knew her. 

Maria is survived by her loving children, Joseph Paliotta of Cranston, and Anna McGreen and her husband Thomas of Narragansett. She was the cherished grandmother of Kevin McGreen, Brian McGreen and his wife Lauren, and Matthew McGreen and his wife Miranda, adored great-grandmother of Bexley and Jovie. Sister of the late Michael Coletta, Vincent Coletta, Albert Coletta, Alfred Coletta, and Rosalba Appolonia. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 11th, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
