MARIA P. LOVEGREEN

Maria P. (Picerne) Lovegreen, of Hawthorne Place, North Providence passed away on Monday , November 16, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the wife of Albert Lovegreen. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Ann (Colletti) Picerne of Cranston and the late John R. Picerne. Maria was a former middle school art teacher for the Lincoln School of Providence for 10 years. She was an advocate of the arts, former board member and member of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club and took pleasure in cooking for her family and many friends. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by one daughter: Alisha Lovegreen of North Providence, one son: James Lovegreen of Providence, four sisters: Rosemary Pariseault of East Greenwich, Joanne Lovegreen of West Warwick, Patricia Soderlund of Cranston, Barbara Goldsmith of Cranston and many nieces and nephews. Also one grandchild, Alexandria of North Providence who called her Mimi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 am in St. Mark's Church , 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Lincoln School Art Department, 301 Butler Avenue, Providence, RI 02906.
