54, a lifelong Cranston resident, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Rhode Island, Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of thirty-one years to Charles M. Brown. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Emanuele "Manny" and Mary L. (Dinonsie) Mignanelli. Maria-Lisa was a Special Assistant for the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. She was formerly employed by the State of RI DEM, and the City of Cranston. Maria-Lisa was a graduate of The Prout School, Class of 1974 and St. Mary's College, Notre Dame in 1978. She was inducted into the Prout Hall of Fame in 2009 and awarded the Volunteer Service Award.
Besides her husband she is survived by her loving daughter Marisa A. Brown of Cranston. Maria-Lisa was a cherished sister, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, godmother, and friend. She also leaves her loving pet Aurora.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Prout School, Maria-Lisa Brown Scholarship Fund, 4640 Tower Hill Road, Wakefield, RI 02879-2277.
