Maria F. (Ferreira) Santos

69, of Mooresville, NC formerly of Cranston, RI passed away peacefully on Sunday , August 25, 2019 after a long fought battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Edgar J. Jensen, Jr. Born in Santo Antao, Cape Verde a daughter of the late Antonio Joao Ferreira and Senhorinha Silva Fonseca. Maria was employed for the State of Rhode Island Department of Corrections for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving daughters Sandra Santos and Benvinda Santos both of Cranston, her siblings Adelaide Nascimento , Francisca Lopes , Salome Tomar , Elizabeth Tomar, Filomena Matthews and Joao Ferreira. She was loved, and will be remembered by many nieces,nephews and cousins. Maria was also the sister of the late Gregoria S. Alexander, Maria Gomes, and Beverly Tomar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service to be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, RI.
