MARIA C. (LEONARDO) CARBONE

76, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Giuseppe "Joseph" Carbone. They were married 53 years. She was born in Italy, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Assunta (Sparano) Leonardo. Mrs. Carbone was a longtime care giver at St. Ann's Church in Providence. Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her loving children, Vincenzo Carbone of Cranston, Eleonora Carbone of Coventry, Assunta Carbone of Providence and Antonio Carbone of Cranston. She was also the cherished grandmother of 8 and sister of Antonio, Salvatore and Minuccio Leonardo all of Italy. Maria was also the sister of late 3 brothers. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave., Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 4-8 pm.
