MARIA (DE SIMONE) CAIRO
75, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Kent County Hospital, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of fifty-one years to Vincenzo Cairo. Born in Caserta, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Alfredo and Maria (D'Amico) DeSimone.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Carmine Cairo, Franca Montardy, and Alfredo Cairo and his wife Shannon, all of Cranston. She was the cherished grandmother of Rosa, Erik, Carmine, Jr., Alfredo, Jr., and Christianna, and great-grandmother of David and Santino. She was the devoted sister of Luigi and Michele DeSimone, both in Italy, and the late Antonio, Franco, and Alba DeSimone.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m.
