Maria (Macera) DeBellis 79, of Curry Road, Cranston, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Kent County Hospital, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of Lucio B. DeBellis. They were married for fifty-seven years. Born in Castelnuovo, Parano, Frosinone, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Genoveffa (Ciarnella) Macera. Mrs. DeBellis was an assembler for the former Colonial Knife Company and was also employed by the former GI Manufacturing Company both of Providence. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Besides her husband she is survived by her loving daughter Marianna D'Urso and her husband Salvatore of Cranston. Mrs. DeBellis was the mother of the late Nicholas DeBellis. She was the cherished grandmother of Lucio and Daniela D'Urso both of Cranston. Mrs. DeBellis was the sister of Natalie Crispino of Cranston, Rose Cece of Cranston, Amelia Laquale of Johnston, Mondo Macera of North Scituate and the late Raffaelina Macera and Gennaro "Jimmy" Macera. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8 p.m.
