70, of Warwick, passed away Sunday morning, August 22, 2010 at New England Medical Center, Boston, MA from complications of congestive heart failure. She was the beloved wife of the late William S. Olson, III. Born in Riedenberg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Marcus and Josefa (Buchner) Gerhard. Margot was a waitress for many years at the former Great House in Warwick and the Duncan Fyffe in Cranston. In the 1980's and 90's, along with her husband operated Nautique Ceramics and won multiple regional awards in her craft. After her husband's passing, she continued teaching ceramics with her "second family" of friends. She touched many lives with her loving and giving nature. Margot was the loving mother of Dennis M. Olson and daughter-in-law Susan Saccoccia Olson and James P. Olson. She was the cherished grandmother of Sara A. Olson and Kaylee M. Olson. Margot is survived by her youngest brother, Ludwig Gerhard and the late Leo, Hermann, August and Ilsa Muller. She was fortunate to visit her family in Germany in 2005. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
