Margaret graduated from Franklin K. Lane high school in Brooklyn, NY and attended secretarial school where she learned short hand. She became an assistant to the director of the British Broadcasting Corporation's NY office in Rockefeller Center. Her work assignments had her traveling to Canada, and Newport, RI for the America’s World Cup race. She held that position for 12 years until becoming a mother and choosing to stay at home to raise her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who held a deep faith in God, prayed the rosary often and found solace in prayer. Later in life she would go back to work as a cashier and then as a bank teller. Together with her beloved husband Anthony, she volunteered in the community working at soup kitchens in RI and Florida, helping the blind to get to their doctor’s appointments and go grocery shopping and at Meals on Wheels. She also taught English to immigrants. She was an avid reader who read hundreds of books and often polished off a best seller in 3 days. She loved Scrabble, Sudoku, crocheting, knitting and jigsaw puzzles. Margaret’s peaceful, even-tempered, calming presence will be missed. She was deeply loved.
