Margaret J. (Egan) Jones

90, of Providence, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022.  She was the wife of the late Alanson Jones.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Mark A and Elizabeth M (McGurn) Egan.

She loved bingo, enjoyed shopping, and going for long drives. She truly was a comical person and made everyone around her laugh. Her character will leave an imprint in our memories forever. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church.

She leaves her son, David Jones of Providence; three grandchildren, Marissa Fernandez, David Souza and Stephen Souza; and six great-grandchildren, Corey Renaud, Jr., Chayce Renaud, Ariana Souza, Kaelyn Souza, Jacob Sivo-DelToro and Nathan Souza.  She was the mother of the late Elizabeth Giunta and Mary Jane Jones; and sister of the late Thomas Egan, Mary Dias, Mark Egan, Nancy Haskins, John Egan, Rita Granta, Patrick Egan and Michael Egan.

Her VISITING HOURS will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 5-7pm at in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
