MARGARET (SCUNGIO) CALITRI

96, of Boston Neck Road, Narragansett passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at South Kingstown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Kingston. She was the beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Calitri. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Muscatelli) Scungio. Mrs. Calitri was a waitress at the former Anchor Dairy Bar in Peace Dale for twenty years before her retirement. She also worked along with her husband at the former Belmont Fruit Company of Wakefield and was co-owner of the former Calitri Fruit Stand of Narragansett.

She is survived by one son, Domenic B. Calitri of Peace Dale, and was the mother of the late Shirley A. Calitri. She was the cherished grandmother of five. Margaret was the sister of the late Anthony and Frederick Scungio, Lena Nardolillo, Angelina Rossi, Carrie Rossi, Mary Yemma and Eva Caletri.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt.1A) Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Wakefield.VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-7 p.m.
