Malvina C. (Dionne) Champagne 90, of Cherry Hill Road, Johnston, formerly of Cranston, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the wife of the late Armand J. Champagne. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Amie and Medora (LaClaire) Dionne. Mrs. Champagne was a mill worker for the former Robinson Rayon Company of Providence for many years before her retirement in 1983. She is survived by her two children Robert E. Champagne of Cranston and Lorraine M. Champagne of Johnston. Mrs. Champagne was the grandmother of David B. Champagne of Cranston, Gary A. Champagne of Providence and Mark A. Champagne of Cranston. She was the great-grandmother of seven and the great-great-grandmother of five. Mrs. Champagne was the sister of Dora Gagne of Glocester, Antoinette McGovern of Johnston, and the late Wilfred and Raymond Dionne, and Leona Flynn. She was also the great-grandmother of the late Audrey Lee Champagne. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Avenue, Providence.
