MAGDALENA "LENI" (FURTMEIER) RUSSO

79, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent P. Russo. Born in Augsburg, Germany she was a daughter of the late John and Barbara Furtmeier. Leni was a teacher's aide in the Johnston School Department for many years prior to her retirement. She was an outstanding cook, enjoyed shopping and traveling. Leni was an avid Patriots fan. She was the devoted mother of Patricia Russo, Vincent J. Russo, and Barbara A. Russo, all of Johnston. Mema was the cherished grandmother of Jenna DeRosa of Johnston. Leni was the sister of the late Tony Dagale. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
