80, of East View Avenue, Cranston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at R.I. Hospital in Providence. Muffy was the loving wife of Carmine DiSalvo for 59 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Russillo) DiFalco. Since her retirement from Tacoa, Inc. in 1991, Muffy spent her days enjoying her home, family, traveling and friends. She also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in Cranston. Muffy's family is grateful to her doctor's, Dr. Sambandam and Dr. Kasibhatla and their staffs.
She will be forever missed by her children; Janice Sullivan and her husband Francis of Southington, CT, Sharon Yanku and her husband Ronald of Cranston and Michael DiSalvo and his wife Karen of Portland CT. Muffy was the beloved and devoted Nana of Meredith, Michael and his wife Jennifer, Amy and her husband Ken, Robert, Emily and Nathan. She was the Nana of her great granddaughter Natalie Grace who always made her smile. Muffy was the sister of Vincent DiFalco of Cranston, Marianna Molnar of Johnston, Emma Sandbach of Cranston and the late Edward DiFalco. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, her godchildren and close friends.
Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4:00-8:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital Trust, 1 Autumn Street, #731, Boston, MA, 02215.
