MADELINE STOPPELLO

Madeline (Cataldi) Stoppello 84, of Austin Avenue, Greenville, formerly of Dresser Street, Providence died Monday, August 20, 2007 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Stoppello, Sr. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Lanzi) Cataldi. Mrs. Stoppello was a member of the Manton Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her children, Santa Marie Assante, Anne L. LaFazia, both of Johnston and Anthony J. Stoppello, Jr. of Smithfield. Mrs. Stoppello was the grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of eleven. She was the sister of Louis Cataldi of Cranston, Ugo Cataldi of Hollywood, FL, Theresa Saravo of Cranston and the late Julio, Albert and Nello "Chick", and Angelo Cataldi and Marie Nastari. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, Plainfield Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
